I live in an agriculture and dairy region, quite rural in the country. My house is large, and I have taken over a big chunk of the downstairs for my business. My longarm is 14 feet long and lives in half of the downstairs great room. One of the bedrooms houses my sewing studio and I use the storage closets in two other bedrooms to store batting and supplies.
There is a smaller room that is my fabric storage room. I keep a tidy and well decorated home. You would never know all the things I have squirrelled away in storage. I am exceptionally organized which allows me to find everything.

Most of the fibers I work with are natural- wool, cotton, bamboo, linen, silk, and flax. The natural fibers breathe, are sustainable and are traditionally used in quilts. I do occasionally use man-made fibers or a combination of natural and man-made fibers. One of the battings I use is 80% cotton/20% polyester. Just enough to give durability and washing benefits without compromising the natural fiber traits.
I love to upcycle and reuse everything I can. Many of the up-cycled textiles I use have a variety of fibers. I intentionally work with brands of fabric and batting that are using sustainable manufacturing practices.
