Pie...Pot Holders!

Summer time has me craving fruit pie. I do not eat sugar or refined flour which makes it extremely hard to eat pie. I decided to satisfy my desires by making fruit pie pot holders.
For the ingredients I pulled fruit from my garden (fabric stash). Apples, plums, and mixed berries. I found a 9’’ lid from my kitchen made the perfect template for the pie pan. Brown and tan fabrics make the crust. Bias tape forms the lattice upper crust. Batting replaces sugar for the pie filling, and a printed double fold bias tape becomes the decorative pie crust edging.
All of the ingredients are mixed together to form the pies. When they are ready the pies are popped into the oven (sewing machine) and cooked to perfection. They look so delicious.
Hope you like my pies!
