Quilting On The Road

It is summer in the USA, and I am on the road to Vancouver, Washington for a weeks’ vacation with family. I always have a sewing project to work on when I travel. My husband is the driver which gives me many hours for stitching and I have room for a larger project.
I am working on two projects. I have just a few more Gilded Tracks blocks to finish. The alternate blocks are all pieced. Sashing and cornerstones are cut out. As soon as I finish these blocks, I will be able to start setting the quilt together.
I finished the applique on True Love and have moved to the embroidery stage. This is a large project. The applique is around the outer edges. It requires space and is one of the reasons I haven’t finished it yet. Many hours in the truck should allow me to make some progress. I will also work on it in the evenings before bed time.
