Tree Farm Quilt

Green, yellow, and white patchwork quilt with tree and star motifs draped over a wooden chair in a cozy room.

Jolly Tree Farm was a five-week mystery quilt-along pattern by Fat Quarter Shop. I chose to do my trees in green with yellow gold stars. I challenged myself to use fabrics from my scrap bags. The background with a metallic gold highlight was the only fabric I needed a bit more than scraps.


The pattern ended with the background border. I enlarged my quilt with a couple of borders. I used the stitch and flip cut offs from the blocks to make the triangle trees in the border and added yellow sunshine squares. For the backing and binding I used a metallic gilded green fabric and extra scraps.


Batting- cotton, quilting pattern-Retro Leaves. Tree farm will make a great children’s quilt or a perfect gift for a nature lover.
